On April 26th I interviewed arts and business expert, poety Ted X Nashville host and strategist Stephanie Pruitt at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. This lady captured the audience’s attention right from the get-go with tips on how to be the best ART-preneur possible. Perhaps the most powerful insight of the morning concerned the meaning of art: “It connects seemingly disparate ideas, relationships and things,” Pruitt explained. “Not only has it helped me see the world differently but it quite literally, saved my life at certain points.” Creativity connects Stephanie to her surroundings. Yet, doting won’t bring in the dollars so she also talked about the essential tools one needs to market and sell their work. As she explained, one doesn’t have to sacrifice basic needs or sell their soul to make a living.
Join me on May 24th for the next Sip It! with Cali DeVaney of salon and barbershop, Parlour and Juke. We’ll discuss how to build a business and clientele from scratch, and balance creativity with running the show. Get your tickets at the Entrepreneur Center’s website now.
