This past week, the Nashville International Airport debuted a three-wall art installation inspired by my multimedia brand, Word of Mouth Conversations. I created the series back in 2012 to capture the zeitgeist that is Nashville. Over the last five years, I have been fortunate to interview local heroes who live right in my own backyard.
As co-curator of the exhibition, I hand-picked artists who portrayed the subjects from my series in their chosen medium. Photographer Ron Manville, painter Omari Booker, and sculptor Carolyn Boutwell are all experts, in my eyes, at capturing all facets of the human condition. I hope this exhibition speaks to what makes Nashville so appealing to natives, visitors, and transplants, like myself: its tightly knit, supportive community.
I personally have never met, or interviewed, the same person twice. In this yearlong exhibition, I hope to give a glimpse into the texture, tone, and complexity of the human spirit.
Thanks a lot for the article post.Really looking forward to read more. Really Cool.
