This Tuesday, January 24, the Vanderbilt University Curb Center will be hosting “The Sustainability of Nashville’s Creative Community in the Face of Explosive Growth” a panel to discuss Nashville’s constant growth and what it means to the creative individual. The discussion, led by Vanderbilt sociology professor Dan Cornfield, will also feature musician and Word of Mouth Nashville Conversations photographer Joshua Black Wilkins, and urban planner and affordable housing specialist Adriane Bond Harris.
Join me in the crowd to find out how massive growth is affecting the community, and what we can do to make sure our voices and concerns are heard. A reception begins at 5 p.m. with the panel discussion starting at 5:30. This event is a continuation of the Transformations exhibition the Vanderbilt Curb Center and I created around my first book, Word of Mouth: Nashville Conversations.
